Overview of the Canton Fair 2023
The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair. It is held every spring and autumn in Guangzhou, China. The event is co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of PRC and the Peoples Government of Guangdong Province. It is organized by China Foreign Trade Centre.
The Canton Fair is the pinnacle of international trade events, boasting an impressive history and staggering scale. Exhibiting a vast array of products, it attracts buyers from all over the world and has generated immense business dealings in China.
The enormous size and scope of the Canton Fair is a biannual event for almost everything import and export with China. More than 25000 exhibitors come from all over the world to attend this twice-yearly market in Guangzhou that has been going on since 1957!
Exhibition Arrangements
The 133rd Canton Fair will open in spring 2023 at the Guangzhou Canton Fair Complex. The offline exhibition will be exhibited in three phases by different products, and each phase will be exhibited for 5 days. The specific exhibition arrangements are as follows:

China Import and Export Complex(Canton Fair Complex for short), also name Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center or Pazhou International Exhibition Center. The China Import and Export Fair Complex is located in Pazhou Island, Guangzhou, China. It is the largest modernized exhibition centre in Asia. It has a total construction area of 1,100,000 square meters, with 338,000 square meters of indoor exhibition space and 43,600 square meters of outdoor exhibition space. Area A has an indoor exhibition area of 130,000 square meters and an outdoor exhibition area of 30,000 square meters. Area B has an indoor exhibition area of 128,000 square meters and an outdoor exhibition area of 13,600 square meters. Area C has an indoor exhibition area of 80,000 square meters.

Badge for Canton Fair is free after pre-register or will cost 150RMB, and it can use for 3 phase and many years.
Cash
The Chinese currency is Renminbi - RMB, also call Chinese Yuan - CNY. The standard unit of the Renminbi is Yuan, with Jiao subsidiary units. USD, HKD, JPY, EUR, GBP, Australian dollar, Canadian dollar, Singapore dollar, Swiss franc can be changed at the most of banks and 4,5-star hotels. Hotels usually charge the official rate plus 15 commission. You will need your passport to change money. Also, you can use most popular ATM card or credit card at an ATM machine for cash withdrawals. You also might want to keep your money exchange receipts if you plan on changing any of your remaining RMB back at the end of your trip. Or you can spend it on souvenirs and other gifts to bring home. You may even want to hold onto some new, crisp Chinese bills to take home and keep with your pictures.
Credit Card
The following foreign credit cards are acceptable in China’s hotels, department stores, restaurants, and many shops: (1) Master Card; (2) Visa Card; (3) American Express Card. Credit cards can be used in most decent hotels, Stores, and restaurants.
Do not wait until you travel to try the cash withdrawal card. Try taking out $200 at home before traveling abroad.

Do I need a Chinese visa to visit the Canton Fair?
If you are not from a country that has a visa-free policy with China, then you will need to apply for a Chinese visa before you go. There are many different types of visas, but the most common one for business trip is the "M" visa.

uThe official Canton Fair invitation list only the Buyer's Name, Nationality, and Company Name. Usually, an invitation from Chinese factories or foreign trade corporations (enterprises) more works for Chinese visa applications. Please be kindly noted that the Canton Fair's invitation might help you get the Chinese Visa, but it all depends on the Chinese Embassy in your country.
uBuyers who need to leave Mainland China to Hong Kong, Macau, and come back again to Guangzhou, must apply for a multi-entry visa.
uIf you already flight to China without a Chinese Visa, you may choose fly to Hong Kong.

How do I get to the Canton Fair complex?

You can easily take a bus, taxi or metro to Canton Fair from Baiyun international airport Guangzhou.
Bus
Guangzhou Airport Express offers special direct shuttle bus service between Canton Fair Complex and Guangzhou Baiyun Airport in all 3 Phases of Canton Fair.
Phase 1 (Apr./Oct. 15~19), Phase 2 (Apr./Oct. 23~27), and Phase 3 (May 1~5/Oct.31~Nov.4).
Bus departure: about every 30 minutes.

There are two metro transfers you need to make when travelling from the airport to Canton Fair Complex. The first is at Tiyu Xi Station, and the second is at Kecun Station. You can find all the information you need on the Guangzhou Metro official website.
